Toronto Raptors 145 Final
127 Golden State Warriors
A+
S. Barnes39 MIN, 26 PTS, 7 REB, 11 AST, 0 STL, 12-18 FG, 0-1 3FG, 2-2 FT, 0 BLK, 4 TO, 10 +/-

Barnes did not let Golden State off the hook with a mismatch once tonight. He was very intentional about getting in the paint whether it was as a roller, as a transition handler, and as a driver. He knew more often than not he would have the size advantage, and he also used these advantages to spread the ball around as well.

A+
I. Quickley34 MIN, 40 PTS, 2 REB, 10 AST, 2 STL, 11-13 FG, 7-8 3FG, 11-11 FT, 0 BLK, 3 TO, 1 +/-

From the opening tip Quickley was a flame thrower, his shooting stroke was pure and he was finally just making his open looks. He was attacking the rim more than usual, he was very aggressive and showed more of a willingness to get deeper into the paint than he usually does as well. This was his first 40 point game of the season, and it came through him being a more aggressive driver, and capitalizing on his open looks.

B+
B. Ingram36 MIN, 22 PTS, 4 REB, 5 AST, 1 STL, 8-17 FG, 4-6 3FG, 2-2 FT, 1 BLK, 1 TO, 12 +/-

Ingram was pretty silent in the first half, he was taking some really difficult looks, and letting Golden State’s help defense overwhelm him. In the second half he settled in more and was off the ball more as well, and began to light it up from behind the arc.

C-
O. Agbaji12 MIN, 4 PTS, 0 REB, 0 AST, 0 STL, 2-6 FG, 0-3 3FG, 0-0 FT, 0 BLK, 3 TO, 3 +/-

Agbaji had a poor game, he never got into a rhythm offensively despite Toronto being in control of this game the entire time. He had some easy looks at the rim early in the game, but for the majority of the game he wasn’t much of a factor.

A
S. Mamukelashvili26 MIN, 14 PTS, 12 REB, 4 AST, 2 STL, 5-8 FG, 4-4 3FG, 0-0 FT, 1 BLK, 1 TO, 3 +/-

Mamu was perfect from outside the arc tonight, and he was key to extending the lead. Usually he is more of a free flowing cutter, looking to make quick decisions with the ball, but tonight he was so efficient as a shooter all he had to do was walk into jumpers and his job was done.

B-
G. Dick23 MIN, 10 PTS, 3 REB, 0 AST, 1 STL, 3-6 FG, 2-5 3FG, 2-2 FT, 0 BLK, 1 TO, 17 +/-

Gradey got the chance to be a starter tonight, and he didn’t really take full advantage of it. He hit a beautiful cut and finish at the rim, and he hit a difficult movement three off of a pindown screen early in the game. He missed some great looks from outside though, really would like to see him capitalize on those moving forward.

B
J. Shead30 MIN, 10 PTS, 1 REB, 8 AST, 1 STL, 4-6 FG, 2-2 3FG, 0-0 FT, 0 BLK, 2 TO, 24 +/-

Shead was pretty solid all around tonight, Toronto was so hot offensively, it felt like whoever he swung the ball too was guaranteed to add an assist to Shead’s total on the night. He knocked down both of his triples tonight, which included a bank shot off the middle of the glass. Shead was just sturdy and sound within the flow of the offense tonight, he had some good possessions guarding Curry as well.

B-
J. Battle15 MIN, 9 PTS, 2 REB, 3 AST, 0 STL, 3-6 FG, 2-4 3FG, 1-1 FT, 1 BLK, 0 TO, 5 +/-

Battle did mostly what you expect of him, fill the lane in transition, spot up for three and be ready to fire. So this was a usual game for Battle, he took care of business when he was presented the opportunity to shoot the ball, and he didn’t make poor decisions when he got it.

B
Darko Rajakovic

Darko gave Gradey a shot by adding him to the starting lineup tonight, you have to give Darko credit for handling Toronto’s injuries by putting together lineups that flow together well.

Things We Saw

  1. Toronto had their best shooting night of the season, cashing in 21 out of 34 threes, they beat Golden State at their own game led by Immanuel Quickley who had 7 threes.
  2. Scottie Barnes’ paint presence on offense was fearsome tonight, but his mid-range touch was also strong as well, he showed the layers to his scoring tonight.
