Knicks owner James Dolan addresses Giannis Antetokounmpo trade speculation
BY ALEJANDRO LOPEZ
The owner of the New York Knicks has broken his silence on one of the NBA’s biggest early season stories.
“We love our team now,” owner James Dolan said on a radio show on Monday about the possibility of trading for former MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo. “They have chemistry, they all like each other, I’ve never seen a locker room more copacetic there’s a lot of energy in there. Leon [Rose] can always overrule me, but I don’t see us making a big change.”
The Knicks are under the largest expectations they’ve had since the turn of the century and, despite their struggles as of late, have shown glimpses of a championship team, regardless of whether or not they pull off a blockbuster trade.
“We got to keep building up this group,” Dolan added. “This group can win a championship, I believe that.”
