West Virginia 1/6 7:00 ESPN

The Bearcats will look to secure their first road win and first Big 12 win of the season at West Virginia (9-5, 0-1 Big 12, NET #89, KenPom #71) on Tuesday. The Mountaineers are led by Ross Hodge, who was hired away from North Texas in late March 2025. He brought in a host of 4th and 5th-year transfers, most of whom who came from mid-majors programs, along with a handful of true freshmen.

Like the Bearcats, the Mountaineers had an underwhelming non-conference performance where their best win (and only non-Q4 win) came against Pitt (NET #112) at home. West Virginia opened their Big 12 campaign with a 80-59 loss at Iowa St on Friday night.

The Mountaineers are one of the slowest teams in the country (359th in Tempo per KenPom) and rank higher in defense (51st in KenPom) than offense (100th in KenPom).

Their leading scorer is 5'11 5th-year Chattanooga transfer Honor Huff who scores 16.6 ppg as a volume shooter from 3 (40% on 9.6 attempts/game). Their second leading scorer is 6'5 5th-year St. Bonaventure transfer Chance Moore who averages 12.9 ppg and 6.3 rpg.

Wes Miller is looking for his first win in Morgantown after suffering losses over the past two seasons by a combined 7 points.
