Five-star guards Caleb Holt, Jordan Smith Jr. update decision timelines
By ADAM ZAGORIA
Five-star guards Caleb Holt and Jordan Smith Jr. have both narrowed their lists and are on similar timelines for their decisions.
Both guards are eyeing a commitment sometime around February-March.
Smith Jr., the No. 2 overall prospect in the 2026 class, is down to six schools in Arkansas, Duke, Georgetown, Indiana, Kentucky and Syracuse.
“February-March,” his father “Big” Jordan Smith told ZAGSBLOG.
Smith went for 34 points to lead Paul VI (Va.) over St. Louis (MO) Principia, 78-68, in the City of Palms semifinals on Monday night.
PVI will face Archbishop Stepinac (NY) in the championship game Tuesday night at 9 p.m. ET (ESPN2).

The 6-foot-5 Holt, meantime, is considering Alabama, Arizona, Houston, Kentucky and Providence and has visited all five.
“Probably decision time around February, March time,” Holt told On3.com. “That’s probably a good time. I’m not in a rush. I’m going to watch the season, analyze what the teams are doing, and hopefully find the right fit. A lot of people can say a lot of stuff, but you’ve got to produce on the court. You’ve got to see it on the court.”
“[He’s a] consummate winner and two-way impact [player],” Prolific Prep coach Ryan Bernardi said. “Caleb will go down as one of the most accomplished high school players in the recent history.”
