USC guard Rodney Rice to get second opinion on injured shoulder

USC guard Rodney Rice is scheduled to receive a second opinion on his injured shoulder from a specialist this week.
“We are meeting with a specialist this week and (will) explore options,” Rodney Rice Sr. told ZAGSBLOG.
Rice, a transfer from Maryland, has appeared in five games for the Trojans and has averaged 20.3 points per game this season.
USC head coach Eric Musselman told reporters on Sunday that Rice could miss the remainder of the season, but there is no “finality” on Rice’s situation.
Musselman also told reporters that USC is interested in adding another player to its roster, with the fall semester finishing at most schools around the country this week.
The Trojans are off to a 10-1 start, including winning the Maui Invitational in Hawaii in November. They are scheduled to host UTSA at the Galen Center on Wednesday.
