Knicks forward OG Anunoby to be re-evaluated in two weeks due to a left-hamstring strain

The Knicks have suffered another blow to their starting lineup after Friday night’s game against the Miami Heat.

New York forward OG Anunoby will be out for a minimum of two weeks due to a left-hamstring strain, according to Shams Charania.

Anunoby is one of, if not the best, perimeter defender on the Knicks roster in addition to being one of their best scorers so New York will have a significant void to fill until he returns.

He is averaging 15.8 points, 5.6 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game this season.

Anunoby is the second starter on the Knicks roster to fall to injury after All-star guard Jalen Brunson suffered a grade 1 ankle sprain on Wednesday against the Orlando Magic.

Without two of their key players the Knicks will need multiple contributions from other members of the roster to stay afloat while they attempt to get healthy.

While Anunoby will not travel with the team on their upcoming road trip, Brunson will.

The team’s road trip begins in Miami on Monday against the Heat at 7:30 p.m. EST.
