Iowa State landed a commitment from French center Dorian Rinaldo-Komlan on Monday, ON3’s Joe Tipton announced. The 6-foot-10 big man moved to the United States to advance his basketball career and is a current senior at SPIRE Academy (OH), playing under Kevin Boyle.
Rinaldo-Komlan played a season in the France-ProA U21 league for Limoges, averaging 11.5 points and 4.6 rebounds per game in 21 games. His best performance of the season was a 21-point, nine-rebound outing in which he shot 8-of-11 from the field in a loss to ASVEL.
He is another example of the recent influx in international players to play for programs across the country.
Rinaldo-Komlan is TJ Otzelberger and Iowa State’s fourth commit in the class of 2026. The Cyclones’ recruiting class also includes Yusef Gray Jr., Christian Wiggins and Jackson Kiss.
He is also the Cyclones’ second international commit, joining Kiss, who is originally from New Zealand.
