K-State Women's Basketball adds Slovenian to 2025-26 roster
MANHATTAN (KSNT) - The K-State Women's Basketball team is adding international talent, Ivona Scekic, to the 2025-26 roster.
Scekic is a 6'4'' Center from Ljubljana, Slovenia. She has represented Slovenia in several EuroBasket tournaments including, 2025 FIBA U20 and U18, 2024 FIBA U18 and 2023 FIBA U16.
Scekic averaged 5.7 points, 6.9 rebounds and 1.1 assists in the 2025 FIBA U18 Women's EuroBasket. Her breakout game came against Greece where she put up 13 points and 9 rebounds in 19 minutes of game time.
K-State Athletics reports that Scekic will be joining the tea in mid-December. Until then, the 'Cats will be making their first road trip of the 2025-26 season at 4 p.m. this Saturday when they take on the SMU Mustangs in Dallas, Texas.
