Five-star prospect Bryson Howard commits to Duke
BY ALEJANDRO LOPEZ
Duke has secured a Top-15 prospect in the Class of 2026.
Five-star prospect Bryson Howard will join the Blue Devils as a member of their 2026 recruiting class, he announced live on Tuesday.
The 6-foot-5 forward, and son of former NBA All-Star Josh Howard, chose Duke over North Carolina and Kentucky.
“I chose Duke because I feel like I fit perfectly into their system especially with how they play defense, move off the ball, and space the floor,” he told Rivals.com. “Also the way everyone there treats each other like family really stood out to me and made me feel this is the right home.”

The Texas native was unranked before the summer, during which he experienced a meteoric rise in his stock, ultimately becoming a five-star prospect.
Howard’s rise was highlighted by a remarkable showcase for Team Proskills during the Nike EYBL Circuit, including a 25-point performance in the Peach Jam Quarterfinals.
Now, he will join head coach Jon Scheyer and the Blue Devils as the first member of the program’s 2026 recruiting class.
