Five-star guard Caleb Holt has ‘magnificent’ visit to Arizona
By ADAM ZAGORIA
Five-star Prolific Prep (CA) guard Caleb Holt took an official visit to Arizona this past weekend and came away impressed.
“The Arizona visit was magnificent!” his father Desman Holt told ZAGSBLOG. “Their message was he would have every opportunity to earn the right to step in and be featured from Day 1.”
The 6-foot-5 guard is ranked the No. 1 shooting guard in the Class of 2026, per 247Sports.com.
He previously visited Providence, Kentucky and Alabama and is also slated to visit Auburn next weekend.
“We’ll re-calibrate mid-week to determine our next steps,” his dad said of future visits and plans.
As a sophomore, Holt averaged 20.2 points and 9.5 rebounds per game and was named the Alabama Mr. Basketball, the Class 6A Player of the Year, the Gatorade and MaxPreps Alabama Player of the Year and ASWA Super All-State. Holt led Buckhorn (Ala.) to a second state title and was named MVP of the state tournament.
“[He’s a] consummate winner and two-way impact [player],” Prolific Prep coach Ryan Bernardi said. “Caleb will go down as one of the most accomplished high school players in the recent history.”
Holt’s Prolific Prep teammate Davion Adkins, the No. 3 center in the Class of 2026, will announce Sunday night from the Border League in Las Vegas between Houston, Kansas and Rutgers. Check back on ZAGSBLOG later for the story.
