German guard Jack Kayil commits to Gonzaga
By JAMES MADDEN
Gonzaga has landed a commitment from Jack Kayil, a 6-foot-5 guard from Berlin, Germany. Kayil was a standout for Team Germany at numerous FIBA events and was a member of the Alba Berlin organization in the BBL.
The 19-year-old averaged 8.4 points per game and 3 assists per game during the international season, including a recording 20 points, six rebounds and eight assists in an eye-opening performance against Serbia.
Gonzaga has built a reputation on recruiting high-end international talent, and Kayil is another representation of that.
He is Mark Few and Gonzaga’s first commit in the class of 2026, and one of the highest-ranked international guards in the world.
