George Mason has secured a strong prospect for its 2026 recruiting class.
Four-star class of 2026 prospect Shane Pendergrass will play for the Patriots in the 2026-27 season, he announced on Friday.
The 6-foot-8 forward, 205-pound forward played in the Puma Circuit over the summer and is a top 150 prospect in his class.
“What made Mason the best choice for me was that they weren’t too far from home, the way they plan on developing me, the history they have with tall and lengthy versatile wings like Keyshawn Hall, Woody Newton and Jalen Haynes,” he told ZAGSBLOG. “The relationship with the staff has always been tight, they have been recruiting me forever, it seems like that’s how long we have been building our relationship.”
Mid-Major programs have had a strong impact early on in the 2026 commitment season. They have secured nine of the 50 top 150 players who have committed to a college program thus far.
