Florida State University has secured a high-level forward for its 2026 recruiting class.

Four-star class of 2026 prospect Collin Paul will begin his collegiate career for the Florida State Seminoles after announcing his commitment live on Wednesday.

“It was really difficult,” Paul said on his decision making process.”I love all the schools that recruited me, and I respect each and every school. It just came down to me praying on it, talking with my family, and just going with whatever is the best fit for me. I just feel like the school I chose was the best fit for me.”

The 6-foot-7 small forward completed a visit to Florida State on Aug. 30 and announced he was ready to make his decision shortly afterward.

“I chose Florida State because I feel like in my eyes they were the best possibility for me reaching my next goal, which is the NBA,” he said.
They are going to put me in the best position to get me there because when I saw everyone there were connected, and they really, with coach Luke, he really brought the winning mentality from an NBA stand point, which he was an NBA assistant coach and I feel like he will put me in the best position to be an NBA caliber player.”

He chose FSU over programs such as Seton Hall, Virginia Tech, Ole Miss, DePaul, and Loyola.

He played AAU for SOH Elite this summer, averaging 16.5 points, 8.6 rebounds and 3.8 assists per game.

He is the No. 76 recruit in the class of 2026, according to 247Sports and is a strong get for Luke Loucks, who was hired to be the program’s new head coach in March.
