Kansas State lands 7-foot-1 Romanian center

Dorin Buca – a 7-foot-1 center from Romania announced his commitment to Kansas State, Jonathan Givony announced on Tuesday. Turning 23 in a few days, Buca will have two years of NCAA eligibility.
He spent time playing professionally in Italy and led the Italian second division in blocks and was a top-five rebounder while playing for Akem Libertas Livorno. Buca averaged 5.6 points per game, 5.3 rebounds per game and 1.2 blocks per game last season.
Buca is the third European talent to commit to Kansas State this summer, joining Serbian guard Andrej Kostic and German wing Elias Rapieque. He is the 12th addition to Kansas State’s roster this offseason.
