Four-star guard Katrelle Harmon commits to Creighton
By SAM LANCE
Class of 2026 four-star point guard Katrelle Harmon has committed to Greg McDermott and the Creighton Bluejays, he announced live to 247Sports.
Harmon, the 6-foot-5 point guard out of Wasatch Academy (UT) and the Vegas Elite Nike EYBL AAU program, chose Creighton over his other finalists Alabama, Iowa, Oregon, Rutgers and Washington. He officially visited both Creighton and Iowa in June before making a decision.
“I felt like it was just the right fit,” Harmon said of Creighton. “I’m a big point guard, and I can facilitate for myself and my teammates. They’ve been recruiting me for a minute, I think since sophomore year. So just the relationship we made, I trust them and they trust me. I’m just ready to go there and work.”
The point guard is one of the best distributors in the 2026 class. He helped Wasatch Academy to the quarterfinals of Chipotle Nationals as a junior, averaging 9.0 points, 1.5 rebounds, 8.0 assists and 1.5 steals in two tournament games. He averaged 6.5 assists in EYBL scholastic play, but he took his scoring to the next level with Vegas this summer, posting 15.5 points, 4.3 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game. Vegas was one of the best teams in the EYBL, and its offense ran through Harmon. The four-star also played through injury at Peach Jam and still performed.
“A lot of what he does you can’t teach!,” Wasatch head coach Paul Peterson told ZAGSBLOG. “He has a feel for the game that only few have.”
This is the second commit for Creighton in the 2026 class with Harmon joining four-star forward Jaidyn Coon. Creighton now has one of the best high school classes in the country, but it’s early in the process.
Harmon looks to be a perfect match for Creighton’s high-powered offense. Why does Peterson see it as a good fit?
“The pace at which they play, the usage rate from the point guard and the fact they always have a good big to couple with the point guard.”
Harmon is ranked the No. 55 overall prospect in the 2026 class by 247Sports. His father, Leonard Harmon, played Division III basketball and spent some time playing overseas.
