Cameron Brink is set to make her return on Tuesday against the Aces, making the Sparks fully healthy for the first time this year.

The Sparks just got the best news of the year, with head coach Lynne Roberts confirming during Monday’s team practice that Cameron Brink will be available for Los Angeles’ game against Las Vegas on Tuesday.

This will be Brink’s season debut and her first game back since tearing her ACL early last season.

Roberts also said she expects Brink to be on a minutes restriction, though that’s still a conversation she has to have with the medical staff.

Brink’s return has been expected. She was upgraded to doubtful for their previous game against the Liberty, and Roberts mentioned earlier this month that she was hopeful Brink would be back by the end of July.

While Holly Rowe of ESPN reported during the 2025 WNBA Draft that the goal was for Brink to play before the All-Star break at the beginning of July, she did not meet that date.

However, that was before the start of the season, and it appears Brink will arrive in time to meet the new expected return window.

Brink was drafted by the Sparks with the No. 2 pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft and immediately made an impact.

She had a game-sealing rejection against the Mystics in the team’s first win of the year and started in all 15 games she played before her season was cut short due to her ACL tear.

While the sample size is small, she was already showing signs of being one of the best rim protectors in the WNBA. She averaged 2.3 blocks and 1.1 steals per game.

If Brink could’ve maintained that many rejections all season, she would’ve been the second-best shot blocker in the league behind only A’ja Wilson, who averaged 2.6 per game.

Once Brink steps foot on the court, it will be the first time the Sparks have had a clean injury report this season.

While ideally L.A. would’ve been healthy earlier in the year, this is a perfect time to have the entire roster available. The Sparks are currently on a five-game winning streak and are only a game back from a playoff spot.

With Brink back, they can make a postseason push during this second half of the season and aim to end their four-year playoff drought.
