Nik Khamenia Video And Reactions
Kid is looking impressive
We’ve been intrigued with Nik Khamenia for a while now. He’s clearly intense and he grew up in a basketball family, which Duke tends to like. And as we saw in U19 play in Switzerland, he’s an excellent passer.
He’s just barely gotten to Duke but the social media team put out a bit of highlight reel and he’s looking good.
A lot of this is just dunks, which is SOP for the genre, but if you look carefully, you’ll see a no-look pass in there.
We’re not saying he’s Cooper Flagg or Larry Bird, but if you have a 6-9 kid who can really pass, he can see over a lot of people and that’s going to be a major asset.
We’re really going to be very curious to see how he plays with Cayden Boozer, who is also a smart player and excellent passer. It’s just July, so there’s no sense of the ultimate lineup, but to us, it looks like those two are likely to build solid roles.
By the way, the K in Khamenia is silent.
