Pretty cool stuff from the former Blue Devil

Ricky Price’s Duke career probably wasn’t what everyone expected, but it wasn’t entirely his fault.

Price had a tough time in high school in that he didn’t have consistent coaching and then when he got to Duke, Mike Krzyzewski had his back issue during Price’s freshman year so that was one more year of inconsistent coaching.

Since leaving Duke, Price had a decade-long career before retiring.

Today, he does motivational speaking and has a book out called Celebrate Your WIns (you’ll see it not too far into this video). It has a foreword by Coach K, too.

He talks here about a number of things - playing in the McDonald’s game, choosing Duke over Kansas, playing for Coach K, warm feelings for Roy Williams, admiration for Dean Smith, and that if he had the choice to do things over again, he’d still choose Duke.

He had some adversity at Duke, but we admire his mindset here and his upbeat nature. It’s good to hear how things have gone from him since he graduated.
