And intriguing possibilities for Kon Knueppel and Khaman Maluach

Over at CBS, Adam Finkelstein has a pretty good sense of what teams are thinking and here’s his (presumably final) mock draft.

He has Cooper Flagg going #1 of course, then Kon Kneuppel going to Utah with the #5 pick and that would be great for him. As we always say, being with a stable, intelligently run franchise is the best thing for any player. Utah has been well-run for decades.

Finkelstein has Khaman Maluach going to Brooklyn with the #8 pick but our sense is that there are a number of teams that would love to get him and are probably scheming to do so.

Ace Bailey, who was seen as a top 3 pick, may have made his life more difficult by declining workouts with various teams. Finkelstein has him falling to Washington at #6.

He has almost-Devil Cedric Coward going to San Antonio with the #14 pick. That would be a spectacular rise as this article points out, given that Coward started at at D-III school.

This mock only covers Round 1 so there’s no mention of either Tyrese Proctor or Sion James, both of whom are projected as second round picks.
