Kaitlyn Davis, who the Liberty drafted in 2024, has been cut from the team’s training camp roster.

Davis, whom the Liberty drafted with the 35th pick in 2024, played at Columbia University for three seasons before completing her senior season at the University of Southern California in 2023-24. She averaged 6 points per game on 54.4% shooting and 5.8 rebounds at USC.

The New York Liberty training camp roster now includes 14 players

The Liberty currently have 14 players under contract, and are expected to cut 2 or 3 more players ahead of the May 15th deadline. Teams can carry up to 12 players, but typically choose to have 11 on their rosters for cost-savings reasons.

The Liberty have 3 players on guaranteed contracts:

  1. Guard Natasha Cloud (protected veteran)
  2. Center Jonquel Jones (protected veteran)
  3. Forward Breanna Stewart (protected veteran)

The Liberty have 11 additional players under contract:

  1. Guard Marquesha Davis
  2. Forward Leonie Fiebich
  3. Guard Sabrina Ionescu
  4. Center Nyara Sabally
  5. Forward Kennedy Burke
  6. Forward Rebekah Gardner
  7. Forward Isabelle Harrison
  8. Guard Marine Johannes
  9. Forward Esmery Martinez
  10. Forward Leaonna Odom
  11. Guard Jaylyn Sherrod

In the 2025 Draft, the Liberty selected French center Adja Kane with the No. 38 overall pick. Kane remains overseas and is not on the team’s training camp roster.
