YouTube Gold: The N&O’s Luke DeCock On UNC And Bill Belichick

The closing line here is pretty great.

As you probably know by now, the situation between UNC and new coach Bill Belichick and his girlfriend, has grown more fraught by the day.

There has been a certain amount of murmuring about the 49-year-age difference between Belichick and Hudson ever since he was hired and that accelerated after last weekend’s appearance on CBS Sunday Morning.

Like a lot of people, Dan Patrick is curious about this whole business, so he invited Luke DeCock from the News & Observer to talk about it.

To his credit, DeCock didn't soft-pedal things as a lot of Triangle reporters tend to do. He acknowledged the situation and lamented the lack of openness at UNC (another Triangle tradition).

When Patrick asked him if he would take 1.5 years over or under, DeCock didn’t hesitate: he said he’d take under and that it’s like a chimp flying a 737: you know how it’s going to end, you just don’t know when.
