Fordham adds Harvard grad transfer
By ADAM ZAGORIA
New Fordham coach Mike Magpayo continues to build his roster to compete in the Atlantic 10.
The Rams picked up a commitment from 6-foot-6 Harvard grad transfer Louis Lesmond, a native of Paris, France who averaged 7.9 points and 3.1 rebounds on 36% shooting and 29% from deep. As a junior he averaged 9.8 points and 3.0 rebounds while shooting 38% from beyond the arc.
He was also named Harvard’s Defensive Player of the Year this past season.

Fordham previously added Dejour “DaeDae” Reaves, who averaged 17.3 points and 5.5 rebounds last season at Iona.
“I chose Fordham because Coach Mike is a coach that was willing to get to know me outside of basketball just as much as him wanting me to play for him,” Reaves said. “Coach Mike has done a lot of winning in his recent years. He also had guards that were the same height as me and same playing style as me so it all made sense on why playing for Coach would be a great decision.”
“[I will bring] scoring at all three levels, being a dawg every day, being a great teammate and bringing a lot of positivity.”
Earlier this week, Fordham added a pair of Australian bigs in Abass Bodija and Jack Whitbourn, as well as Michigan transfer Jace Howard and Rikus Schulte, a 6-9 German.
The Rams previously added Hawaii transfer center Akira Jacobs.
