First Portal Score As Cedric Coward Chooses Duke Over Alabama
A solid addition who could really be an asset
Duke scored a major addition Monday afternoon when former Washington State wing Cedric Coward chose Duke over his other finalist, Alabama.
Coward is a 6-6 grad student. He missed most of last season with an injury but played well before going out. Interestingly, he started at D-III Willamette before moving on to Eastern Washington.
As a junior at ESU, Coward averaged 15.4 as a junior.
This past season, he averaged 17.7 ppg and seven rebounds but only played in five games before tearing his labrum.
He looks like a nice, versatile addition. Here’s Duke’s roster now:
- Isaiah Evans
- Caleb Foster
- Maliq Brown
- Patrick Ngongba
- Darren Harris
- Cameron Boozer
- Cayden Boozer
- Nikolas Khamenia
- Cedric Coward
