Schedule Intel - Duke, Michigan To Play In February
This ought to be good.
According to our friends at Maize N Brew, who picked this up from Jon Rothstein, Duke and Michigan will play in Washington, D.C. in February. Details like date, time, and TV are still to be determined.
We like this a lot.
As you know, under both Mike Krzyzewski and Jon Scheyer, Duke has traditionally stepped out of conference in February to see a different style of basketball and Dusty May’s Wolverines should provide that.
He proved at FAU that he was a rising star and last season, he confirmed that in his first season at Michigan, employing a two-big man rotation that, while unconventional by today’s standards, was highly effective. Michigan finished 27-10 in his rookie run and got to the Sweet Sixteen.
He’s an imaginative coach, so it’ll be interesting to see how Scheyer matches wits with him and the game will serve its primary purpose: to expose Duke to a non-ACC style which will help prep them for March.
