Duke Recruiting: Shelton Henderson Decommits
Well this stinks
In a major and surprise, 5-Star recruit Shelton Henderson of Houston, Texas, who had committed to Duke in early November, has changed his mind and will play somewhere else.
It’s a real hit. Henderson was a talented and versatile player and would have carved out a major role at Duke.
On the bright side, there is still plenty of talent in the portal and a lot of people are considering Duke, which has a significant NIL war chest. So things will probably work out fine and could conceivably work out better than they might have if Jon Scheyer & co. find someone who fits well and has more experience.
That’s to be determined. For now, though, it’s a definite hit.
