Duke Recruiting: Brandon McCoy And Jordan Smith As A Package Deal?
This could be fun.
There's nothing concrete in here, certainly not yet, but this is interesting recruiting news nonetheless: Brandon McCoy, long a Duke target, and Jordan Smith, are friends and are considering signing as a package deal.
McCoy is a 6-4 point guard while Smith is a 6-2 shooting guard. We don’t really listen much to ratings but McCoy is the #2 player in the class of 2026 and the #1 point guard while Smith is ranked #6 overall. And while McCoy is from Bellflower, California, Smith attends Paul VI which recently has sent Jeremy Roach, Trevor Keels, Darren Harris and Patrick Ngongba to Durham.
There’s only one relevant quote here and it’s from McCoy: “I want to play for a coach I trust, someone who wants the best for me.”
There is also a poorly edited passage that goes from discussing Duke to Louisville without a transition. You’ll know it when you see it.
Anyway, there have never been guarantees in recruiting and there are even less today, but it’s still nice to think they’d both like to be Blue Devils.
