The Golden State Warriors are back on the road Tuesday night, heading to Arizona to take on the Phoenix Suns. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00 PM PT and can be watched on TNT and NBC Sports Bay Area.
Previously with the Warriors:
The Warriors are hoping to rebound after a tough 106-96 loss to the Houston Rockets on Sunday, which snapped their five-game winning streak. Golden State’s stars struggled against a stingy Houston defense as Stephen Curry and Jimmy Butler combined for just 16 points. Curry, in particular, had a rough night, scoring just three points on 1-of-10 shooting from the field.
Meanwhile, Draymond Green picked up five fouls early in the second half and sat out most of the third quarter. Although he returned to finish the game, the Warriors couldn’t match the energy and intensity their defensive leader usually brings — ultimately dropping this one for their 32nd loss of the season.
“I love Draymond’s fire. There’s a reason we have four banners up there. We wouldn’t have any without Draymond… He was fighting out there. It just didn’t go our way.”

What to watch for tonight:
With just four games remaining in the regular season, the Western Conference playoff race is as tight as ever. The Warriors are one of four teams tied at 46-32, with the Denver Nuggets (47-32) holding a slim half-game lead for the fourth seed.

Tuesday’s matchup in Phoenix kicks off a critical three-game stretch for Golden State against teams with sub-.500 records. It’s a chance for the Warriors to solidify their postseason position — and they’re catching the Suns at a good time.
Despite starting the year 8-2 and featuring a star trio of Kevin Durant, Devin Booker, and Bradley Beal, injuries and overall organizational turmoil have crashed their season leading to the Suns already being eliminated from Play-In contention. Now sitting at 35-43, they’ll be without Durant once again, as he’s set to miss his fourth straight game due to an ankle sprain.

The Suns’ lack of postseason incentive, along with the injury to Durant, should give the Warriors a great opportunity to distance themselves in the standing — one they can’t afford to let slip.
