Jaren Jackson Jr’s quote about the Grizzlies is true, but so damn funny
I mean, he’s not wrong.
Things have turned very, very bad in Memphis. It wasn’t long ago that the Grizzlies were riding high with a 38-16 record entering the All-Star break, and seemed to have all the trappings of a team that could contend in the West. Since then they’re gone 6-15, fired head coach Taylor Jenkins, and are coming under fire for potentially playing Ja Morant while injured.
Jaren Jackson Jr. is keeping it positive though. He’s just happy he’s got a roof over his head.

“We’ve had wins. We’ve had losses. Ain’t no reason to feel, like, crazy. Like, it could always be worse — you could be homeless.”
Objectively: The man’s not wrong. A losing streak in the NBA is nothing compared to being unhoused. Still, it’s absolutely wild to hear anyone talk like this when asked about why the Grizzlies are getting blown out by even the slightest bit of competition.
It’s important not to sweat the small stuff, and in the grand scheme of things this includes losing a whole lot of basketball games.
