Not our normal fare but it’s undeniably fun and interesting

After the win over UNC in Chapel Hill on Sunday, Jon Scheyer met the media and discussed what happened in the win.

His first comments were praise for Caleb Foster, who didn't play last time out against Wake Forest. Scheyer said that he loved Foster’s attitude in practice this week and how he attacked. He comes back to Foster lately and says that the competitiveness he has shown this week is why Scheyer turned to him when he needed someone to step up. He praised his character, basically.

He also talks extensively about Maliq Brown and his return and that he hadn’t had any contact until the last couple of days.

Interestingly, Scheyer says that while Brown has been limited by his injury, one thing that he has been able to do is to work on his shooting, which might explain his pair of threes.

He also talks about Flagg having three fouls and still coming up with four blocks and dominating UNC in the second half.

Press conferences can be pretty boring at times but this one is pretty interesting.
