Duke Moves Past Louisville In ACC Tournament Opener, 61-48
And the road ahead will not be easy
#11 Duke opened ACC Tournament play against Louisville and won 61-48, avenging a home loss on February 20th.
Duke was solid on defense again, forcing 21 turnovers and holding the Cardinals to 18-57 overall and just 3-10 threes. Only two players - Mackenly Randolph and Olivia Cochran - scored in double figures with 13 and 11 respectively.
Four Blue Devils were in double figures with Oluchi Okananwa leading the way with 13. Reigan Richardson had 12, Ashlon Jackson 11 and Toby Fournier finished with 10.
Duke controlled the paint 24-18, second chance points 12-8 and totally owned transition with 13 fast break points to zero for the ‘Ville.
It was a solid win for the Blue Devils who will now face #6 Notre Dame in a very tough matchup on Saturday. Game time is 2:30 and it’s on ESPN2. And on the other side of the bracket?
