LeBron James named Western Conference Player of the Month for February
Amid all the drama that February brought the Lakers, LeBron James brought consistent dominance, resulting in him winning Player of the Month.
The Lakers went through a fairly dramatic February, even by the high standards of the Lakers. An incredible blockbuster trade reshaped the present and future of the franchise and changed things on the fly for the Lakers.
While a dip in form would have been more than understandable, the Lakers instead surged through the end of the month, setting themselves up near the top of the Western Conference heading into a tough February.
Behind it all was LeBron James. Despite turning 40 just before the start of 2025, LeBron has looked as spry as ever. His stellar month was rewarded on Tuesday as the NBA named him Western Conference Player of the Month.

This is the 41st time LeBron has won Player of the Month, extending another record he already held. It’s his third with the Lakers, the only two coming in January and February of 2020.
This also makes him the oldest player to receive the honor, passing Karl Malone, who won at 37 in November of 2000.
LeBron kicked off the month with a memorable game in Madison Square Garden where he had a 37-point triple-double. He mixed in a pair of 40-point games and closed the month by helping the Lakers earn five straight wins, a streak that has since carried over into March.
Across the 11 games, he averaged 29.3 points on 55.5% shooting overall and 44.3% shooting from range. He also grabbed 10.5 rebounds, dished out 6.9 assists and swiped 1.2 steals in 35.2 minutes per contest.
