GB Senior Men final squad revealed for Netherlands

Head Coach Marc Steutel has revealed his 12-man squad for the game against Netherlands on Friday evening in GB’s quest for EuroBasket 2025 qualification.

A win against Netherlands (6:30pm tip) will seal GB’s spot at EuroBasket, before they will then travel to Newcastle to take on Czech Republic on Monday evening.

“The Netherlands have a clear style of play and a clear identity with some really talented players playing at high levels across Europe,” Steutel said.

“So, we know what their style of play is and what they want to achieve on both sides of the ball.

“So, we have to try and make sure that we’re prepared for that, and we make sure the game is more of our style, is more of ours than theirs, and that’s something that we’ll be trying to make sure we bring to life each and every day and build towards for tip-off.”

Steutel has assembled a strong squad for the window, with veterans Myles Hesson and Gabe Olaseni included, rising star Quinn Ellis, fresh off an Italian cup title and MVP award, along side Luke Nelson, Tarik Phillip and Pat Whelan in the backcourt.

The ever-dependable Carl Wheatle is included, plus Akwasi Yeboah who has become a key contribute for GB.
