With LeBron James and Steph Curry on the same All-Star team fans are thinking they are the team to beat.

Welcome to SB Nation Reacts, a survey of fans across the NBA. Throughout the year, we ask questions of the most plugged-in Los Angeles Lakers fans and fans across the country. Sign up here to participate in the weekly emailed surveys.

It’s All-Star weekend and while that means no Lakers games, players from Los Angeles will still be playing competitive basketball in San Francisco.

Dalton Knecht is a Rising Stars player and will participate in that contest. LeBron James will make his 21st appearance in the NBA All-Star game.

With the Rising Stars Challenge, the Slam Dunk Contest, the 3-Point Contest and the All-Star Game happening this weekend, our friends at FanDuel collected the data on what fans think will happen.

Regarding which team has the best odds of winning on Sunday, fans think Team Shaq, featuring LeBron James and Steph Curry, is the favorite to come out on top.

Team Kenny came in second with 28% of the vote and that squad features Anthony Edwards, Darius Garland and Cade Cunningham. It certainly seems like some fans like the experience on Team Shaq and others think the youth on Team Kenny can come out on top.

No surprise Team Candace has the fewest votes, with only 14% of fans picking her roster. None of us know who she will have on her team, as she will inherit the squad that wins the Rising Stars challenge on Friday.

Both the All-Star Game and the Rising Stars challenge will be a four-team mini-tournament.

For the Rising Stars challenge, the winner will be the first team to reach or surpass 40 points in the semifinal games. The championship game winner will be the first team to reach or surpass 25 points.

For the All-Star Game, the winner in each contest will be the first to reach or surpass 40 points.

While the new format is different, what remains the same is that we will have one All-Star Game MVP. Fans think Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has the best odds of winning the award.

With SGA attempting the second-most free throws in the NBA at 8.8, perhaps fans think he will get a friendly All-Star Game whistle and that will get him the numbers he needs to impress.

Lakers star LeBron James surprisingly only received 8% of the vote from fans. With him on a team fans think can win it all, he might have more time on the floor and can impress more than half of the players who will be out before the championship game.

This new way of celebrating the NBA’s biggest stars will either be a hit or miss, but given that it’s the first time, let’s see if it raises the competitive level of the All-Star Game.
