The Lakers had a dramatic reshuffle of their roster at the 2025 NBA trade deadline. Here’s a look at where their roster stands moving forward into the rest of the season.

While many expected the Lakers to make some changes via trade this season, no one could have expected the degree to which the roster underwent a complete overhaul.

The Lakers made some huge moves this season, starting with a very mundane trade in December to acquire Dorian Finney-Smith and ending with fireworks at the deadline. Obviously, the acquisition of Luka Dončić will be the highlight, but the team’s roster looks vastly different from opening night.

Here’s a summary of where things stand for the Lakers after a very busy NBA trade deadline. This has been updated to reflect the rescinded Mark Williams trade as well:

The players the Lakers acquired:

  • Dorian Finney-Smith
  • Shake Milton
  • Luka Dončić
  • Maxi Kleber
  • Markieff Morris

The picks and players the Lakers sent out:

  • D’Angelo Russell
  • Maxwell Lewis
  • Anthony Davis
  • Max Christie
  • Jalen Hood-Schifino
  • 2025 LAC second round pick
  • 2027 LAL second round pick
  • 2029 LAL first round pick
  • 2030 LAL second round pick
  • 2031 LAL second round pick

The new, full Lakers roster

  1. LeBron James
  2. Luka Dončić
  3. Rui Hachimura
  4. Austin Reaves
  5. Dorian Finney-Smith
  6. Gabe Vincent
  7. Maxi Kleber
  8. Jarred Vanderbilt
  9. Dalton Knecht
  10. Christian Wood
  11. Shake Milton
  12. Jaxson Hayes
  13. Cam Reddish
  14. Markieff Morris
  15. Bronny James
  16. Trey Jemison (two-way)
  17. Christian Koloko (two-way)
  18. Armel Traore (two-way)

Picks the Lakers have left

  • 2025 LAL second round pick
  • 2026 LAL first round pick
  • 2028 LAL first round pick
  • 2030 LAL first round pick
  • 2031 LAL first round pick

So, what do you think of the new-look Lakers roster? The team nearly used all of their picks to help upgrade the roster and now seem to have moved up at least one level in the Western Conference.

Let us know what you think of all of these moves!
