Twitter Gold: Grayson Allen Gets A Buzzer Beater
What a play by the former Blue Devil star
We saw a stat yesterday that was truly impressive: former Duke stars and teammates Grayson Allen and Luke Kennard are currently 1-2 in the NBA for three point shooting percentage.
Pretty cool that they’re both from the same school, but former college teammates? That’s almost certainly never happened before.
Allen has had an interesting career. Drafted in 2018 by Utah, he spent some time with their G-League team. Subsequently, he was traded to Memphis, then Milwaukee and now he’s 29 and with the Phoenix Suns.
The Suns are currently 26-25 so it’s certainly not a vintage season or anything. However, Allen is doing his best.
On Saturday, with Phoenix down three, he hit a remarkable three point shot (surprise) to put the game in overtime.
Allen isn’t alone in Phoenix: Brotherhood members Mason Plumlee and Allen’s former Duke teammate and classmate Tyus Jones are there as well.
