Fox teams up with Victor Wembanyama while LaVine reunites with DeMar DeRozan.

Per Shams Charania of ESPN, the Sacramento Kings have finally pulled the trigger on a De’Aaron Fox trade to the San Antonio Spurs — a deal that was rumored and speculated to happen for weeks. In return, they receive Zach LaVine in a three-team deal that also involves the Chicago Bulls.

Spurs receive:

  • De’Aaron Fox
  • Jordan McLaughlin

Kings receive:

  • Zach LaVine
  • Sidy Cissoko
  • 2027 unprotected San Antonio 1st
  • 2031 unprotected Minnesota 1st
  • 2025 top-14 protected Charlotte 1st (will convey into 2026 and 2027 CHA 2nds)
  • 2025 Chicago 2nd (via SAS)
  • 2028 Denver 2nd
  • 2028 Sacramento second (their own pick)

Bulls receive:

  • Zach Collins
  • Tre Jones
  • Kevin Huerter
  • 2025 Chicago 1st (their own pick)

With Luka Dončić being acquired by the Los Angeles Lakers, two of the Golden State Warriors’ division rivals have set themselves up for the future (in the Lakers’ case) and the present (in the Kings’ case).

Speaking of the Warriors: per Marc Stein in his Substack newsletter, the Warriors were deep in talks with the Bulls about acquiring both LaVine and Nikola Vučević. However, the Warriors ultimately decided to “focus on other trade pursuits.”
