Anthony Davis named NBA All-Star for 10th time
Anthony Davis has earned his 10th All-Star appearance, making the roster as a reserve representing the Lakers.
Anthony Davis will don an All-Star jersey for the 10th time after being named a reserve for the 2025 NBA All-Star game on Thursday.
This will be the fourth time AD has been an All-Star since joining the Lakers.

With this selection, he is now tied for the tenth-most appearances as a Laker, along with other legendary bigs such as Wilt Chamberlain and George Mikan.
Joining AD as non-starter reserves in the Western Conference were Anthony Edwards, James Harden, Jaren Jackson Jr., Alperen Sengun, Jalen Williams and Victor Wembanyama.
Davis is averaging 25.7 points, 11.9 rebounds, and 3.4 assists per game, leading the Lakers in both scoring and rebounding. Throughout his tenure with the Lakers, AD has been an All-Star caliber player. However, now, he is clearly the best player on the team.
Los Angeles will have plenty of representation during All-Star weekend in San Francisco.
LeBron James was named an All-Star starter and will be making his 21st appearance and rookie Dalton Knecht will participate in the Rising Stars game.
Once again, the NBA has changed the All-Star game, eliminating the East vs. West contest. Instead, the 24 All-Stars will compete in a four-team mini-tournament.
They will be split into three teams with eight players each and the final team will be the winner of the Rising Stars game.
Gone are the team captains and instead, TNT’s Inside the NBA commentators Charles Barkley, Shaquille O’Neal and Kenny Smith will draft their players from the All-Star pool on Thursday, Feb. 6.
