New Orleans Saints WR Chris Olave thinks Kellen Moore could be good candidate for head coach

Chris Olave appears interested at the idea of Kellen Moore coaching the Saints.

We are a few days away from Super Bowl week beginning in New Orleans and yours truly will be on the ground covering things for SB Nation. To be clear the SB in this case is a convenient/coincidental double entendre for Super Bowl.

Obviously the game itself will not feature the hometown team as the Saints were eliminated from playoff contention in an effective sense around Halloween. It was a tough scene for them.

The Saints are actually the only team in the league who is coach-less at the moment, but their new skipper could be in town for the pomp and circumstance as Philadelphia Eagles offensive coordinator Kellen Moore is rumored to be a strong candidate for the job. It may take the game being over for things to officially happen as they do in these kind of cases.

Whatever the Saints look like by whoever is leading them next year a big focus of what they do will be centered around wide receiver Chris Olave. Unfortunately Olave missed a lot of last season dealing with concussion issues, but he appears to be on track for 2025.

Thanks to our friends at P&G I was able to speak with Olave on Thursday about his work relative to Latino Youth Honors. We also touched on the idea of Kellen Moore and a ton of other things. You can watch our entire conversation below.

P&G is the presenting sponsor of the second annual Latino Youth Honors, which recognizes outstanding high school tackle and flag football athletes from around the country for their academic and athletic excellence.

Thanks to Procter & Gamble’s commitment, all eight of this year’s finalists will be awarded a grant that can be used toward college, with the male and female national winners each receiving $25,000 and the remaining six finalists each receiving $5,000.

The Latino Youth Honors finalists will be in New Orleans during Super Bowl week, where they will participate in activities designed to provide mentorship, guidance and resources to pursue careers in professional sports before attending the Big Game. The male and female national winners will be announced at NFL Honors on Thursday, Feb. 6.

It is very cool to Chris focusing on a younger generation and doing what he can to help them reach the levels of success that he has even to this short point in his NFL career. What’s more is that if the Saints get this hire right it could be Olave’s Saints that find themselves getting set to play a game at this general time of year sometime soon. That is obviously the hope at least.
