Twitter Gold: Kon Knueppel With An Unusual Assist

You could say he gave Tyrese Proctor a leg-up.

Duke’s win over State was truly strange. First you had a player vomit on the court, which for most of us was, thankfully, a first. Then a student - we understand it was a line monitor - passed out a few minutes later. We didn't realize it at the time, but apparently ESPN was happy to film her as she was carried out (reportedly, she is fine and left Cameron under her own power).

And then there was this.

When Tyrese Proctor was teetering under the basket after picking up a loose ball, he was balanced on his left leg, nearly falling over the baseline. In fact, his upper body was falling over and he was about to balance on the ball.

However, he stuck his right leg back in an attempt to balance and teammate Kon Knueppel had the presence of mind to grab his leg and steady him.

Mind you, that’s a freshman making one of the smartest plays we’ve seen in Cameron in a long time.

Proctor quickly gained his balance and fought off Marcus Hill.

What a strange game that was!
