Brits in College Men | December recap

The year 2024 has just ended so it is time for our monthly recap and have a look at how the Brits in College fared in the NCAA during December.

NCAA Division 1

Josh Uduje is having a fantastic season so far, the senior dropped five consecutive 20-point games in December, including a 23-point & 10 rebound double-double performance in a OT win. The senior is leading his team in scoring with 17.1 points per game. Meanwhile, his British teammate Latrell Davis recorded his best performance of the season in the same game, scoring 21 points from the bench before following it up with another 20 in his next outing. San José State hold a 7-8 record overall and 0-3 in the Mountain West conference.

Cameron Hildreth ended the year in great fashion with Wake Forest, the senior had four consecutive double-digit games, including his best performance of the season, scoring 22 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. While his team sit fourth in ACC standing (3-1), he is averaging 12.7 points per game.

Ethan Price posted his best game of the season with a 22-point outing, adding seven boards and five assists to his tally. Price and Washington State remain unbeaten in WCC (2-0), while holding a 12-3 record overall.

Great Osobor posted a 19-point, 10-rebound double-double performance in a loss against Seattle U and is now averaging 14.2 points and 8.7 rebounds on the season, leading his team in multiple categories but the Huskies are 15th in Big 10 standings (1-3).

Tobi Lawal concluded a tough month of December (2-4) with his team, with a 19-point outing in a loss against Duke, his side hold a 0-2 record in ACC (5-8 overall).

Louie Jordan scored 17 points in his best game of the month, however, it came in a loss against Georgia Tech. He also recorded his season-high in rebounds earlier in the month, grabbing 12 boards while scoring nine points in a win over Towson (8-7).

Moreover, Ndewedo Newbury posted 17 points in a victory over Stanislaus St. However, the senior suffered from a leg injury on December 15th, playing only four minutes. The severity of his injury is unknown thus far.

After an amazing start with Oral Roberts, Sam Alajiki only played three games in December. Enough for him to drop three consecutive double-digit performances, including a 16-point outing that came in a loss at the hands of Missouri State. The senior is averaging 13.7 points now on the season.

James Okonkwo went perfect from the field as he registered his best performance this season with 17 points and five boards in 17 minutes from the bench. He then registered three double-double games in the month, including two season-high 16 rebounds outings.

Joel Armotrading recorded two consecutive double figure games and scored a season-high 16-point in 18 minutes in a huge win against St Francis. And then tallied 10 points, nine rebound and four blocks in the following game.

Kentucky’s Amari Williams had 15 points and eight rebounds in a win against Colgate for his best performance in six outings in December, along with having an 11-rebound game in a loss to Clemson, and a 13-point outing in just 19 minutes against Brown. Additionally, he had a 12-point outing in an OT win over 7th ranked Gonzaga.

Eduardo Andre dropped his best performance of the season on New Year’s eve. He had an all-around performance with 15 points, six rebounds and four blocks. And, a few days before he went perfect from the field, scoring 14 points as he shot 6/6.

Chudi Dioramma tallied 14 points and 10 rebounds in a blowout victory over Stanislaus St., his best outing of the season. His team ended the year with two consecutive wins, after losing the first five games of the month.

Sean Trumper tied his season-high of 16 points as he went 6/7 from the field against Niagara for Merrimack.

Sultan Adewale scored a season-high of 12 points in his best outing of the month, shooting 6/9 from the field against Sacred Heart. Giovanni Emejuru had three double-digit outings in the month, including a 12-point game against Penn. Rory Stewart posted 12 points in a loss against LSU. Tomiwa Sulaiman posted a 10-point, 11-rebounds double-double performance from the bench against Bryant to end the year.

Michael Belle had his first double-digit game of the season with 10 points off the bench with VCU. Meanwhile, Luke Bamgboye had a season-high nine point outing against William & Mary in one of his three starts this month. Alex Tew posted 10 points against Lincoln for his best perform

Wesley Oba posted his best performance of the season as he scored eight points in 16 minutes off the bench against Washington State. Josh Ogundele tallied nine points and eight boards in his best game of the month.

Ben Michaels had two nine-points outings in the month while his teammate Tim Oboh scored seven points against Georgia. Vasja Pandža tallied seven points and six rebounds against Pacific off the bench, his best outing of December.

Blaize Sagna finally started his season and recorded seven points and seven rebounds. Michael Folarin tallied six points and five boards in nine minutes off the bench for St Bonaventure. Ben Brown scored six points in his first start of the season with Dartmouth. Matthew Marsh had 6 points off the bench against Oakland.

NCAA Division 2

Stephen Ovia concluded December superbly, registering three double-digit performances in his last four games. His best game of the month was also his best game of the season, but came in a loss at the hands of Point Park in an 18-point outing.

In one of his last outings of the year, Louis Grante-Halliday recorded a 15-point, 13-rebound double-double.

Franklin Agu netted a season-high 13 points and grabbed 11 rebounds off the bench in a double-double outing.

After an amazing start, Finley Woodward posted 12 points against Missouri S&T to end the year. Nathan Jones netted a season-high 13-point in a loss against St. Mary’s. Moreover, Myles Hosten recorded three double-digit games in the month, including a double-double outing with 10 points and 10 rebounds.

JUCO

Tyrese Lacey dropped a stellar performance, on his way to his best performance of the season. The Hoopsfix All-Star 2024 MVP, scored 22 points, going for 10/11 from the field in 22 minutes. He added eight assists to his tally. The freshman is averaging 9.8 points and 8 assists per game thus far. His team remained unbeaten throughout December (5-0).

Andre Anderson netted a season-high 23-point in a loss against Oakton Community College. He then recorded two double figures games in his last three outings with respectively 14 & 17 points. He is averaging 11.1 per game.

Karyiek Dixon finished the year in great fashion. The junior had four consecutive games in double figures, including his best in scoring with 21 points. This run saw him collecting nine boards on two occasions, his season best.

Charnwood product Lane Campbell dropped 19 points, in a 84-74 loss at the hands of Ellsworth Community College. The sophomore only played three games in December. He is averaging 10.3 points per game across 13 games this season.

Sebastian Muchitsch recorded a 13-point, 13-rebound double-double performance as his side took down Dodge City Community College. His team remains unbeaten in their last two games with an overall record of 10-3 on the season.

Daniel Tewogbade scored 10 points for a season best in a loss. However, a few days later he netted a season-high 15-point in a narrow loss against McHenry County College. His team hold a 2-13 overall record, being on a 11-game losing streak.
