NEWARK, N.J.-Davion Adkins, the 6-foot-9 Class of 2026 big man for Oak Cliff (TX) Faith Family Academy, showed off his freakish athleticism on Saturday night at the Iverson Classic in Newark NJ as his squad beat St. Benedict’s Prep (NJ), 72-53.

Adkins and Oak Cliff went 2-0 this weekend in the Garden State and it is largely in part due to his skill set and athletic ability.

“I think I showcased my athleticism, my ability to pass the ball and my awareness,” Adkins, who has been in contact with Rutgers, Texas, Baylor, and Kansas, told ZAGSBLOG on Saturday.

The four-star recruit has an official visit scheduled in May at Rutgers, and Scarlet Knights head coach Steve Pikiell was in the building Friday night for Adkins and Bishop McNamara wing Qayden Samuels.

“Rutgers plays their freshmen,” Adkins said, referring to one-and-done prospects Dylan Harper and Ace Bailey. “They let them hoop.”

Adkins has an unofficial visit scheduled this month at Kansas.

“Kansas has a great system; they let their big men score and get to it,” the Oak Cliff big man said. “They tell me that I’m a great player and that they think I fit their system, I think I fit their system, too, Kansas and Rutgers, especially.”
