The full injury report for Saturday’s game between Golden State and Memphis.

The Golden State Warriors are looking to win back-to-back games for the first time since before Thanksgiving when they host the Memphis Grizzlies tonight, a team that utterly destroyed them about two weeks ago. Things won’t be easy for the Warriors, who will be without their best player. Then again, things won’t be easy for the Grizzlies, who will also be without their best player.

Here’s the full injury report.

Warriors

Out — Steph Curry (bilateral knee injury management)

Two days after shooting a perfect 8-for-8 from three-point range, Curry gets a day off. It’s just a scheduled rest day for Curry, as the Warriors play again tomorrow and the team is trying to manage his knee pain by keeping him from playing back-to-backs. So you can expect to see him on Sunday against the Sacramento Kings.

Out — Brandin Podziemski (right abdominal tightness)

Podziemski’s playmaking will be missed with Curry out, but he’ll miss his third straight game. Thankfully he isn’t expected to be out long.

Out — Gary Payton II (left calf strain)

Payton will miss his fifth consecutive game. He’ll probably miss a few more, but isn’t too far away from returning.

Probable — Andrew Wiggins (right hamstring tightness)

Thankfully Wiggins looks likely to play. That’s big news given that the team will be hurting for offense with Curry sidelined.

Grizzlies

Out — Ja Morant (right AC joint sprain)

This will be the fourth consecutive game that Morant has missed ... and already his 16th absence of the season. He is undoubtedly the team’s best player, but they continue to play impressively well even without him: they’re 14-6 when Morant suits up, and 9-6 when he’s out.

Out — Marcus Smart (right index finger partial extensor hood tear)

Well that’s a wordy injury. The Grizzlies have impressively maintained an elite defense this season, even though Smart — the 2021-22 Defensive Player of the Year — has only played in 18 games.

Out — Santi Aldama (left ankle sprain)

Aldama’s fourth season has far and away been his best one. Unfortunately he sprained his ankle the day after Christmas, and hasn’t played since.

Out — GG Jackson II (right fifth metatarsal repair)

Jackson has yet to make his second-season debut, but he is expected to return at some point this season.

Out — Vince Williams Jr. (right ankle sprain)

It’s been a tough third season for Williams, who has only played in three games so far.

Doubtful — Luke Kennard (right hamstring soreness)

Kennard had a tough start to the season, with an injury and some time needed to shake off the rust. But he’s been excellent lately, including when he shot 5-for-7 from deep against the Warriors in December’s blowout.

Doubtful — Yuki Kawamura (left AC joint sprain)

Kawamura has only played sparingly in his rookie season. He’s appeared in just 15 games, and averaged just 3.5 minutes in those games.

Questionable — Desmond Bane (left ankle sprain)

Bane has blossomed into a legitimate star, so needless to say, Memphis will be hoping he plays ... and the Warriors will be just fine if he cannot.

Questionable — John Konchar (left shoulder soreness)

Konchar has been having an odd season, only playing in about half of the team’s games, and sometimes having a huge role and other times a small role.

It seems like Memphis always has a million players on their injury report. What is going on over there? Either way, enjoy the action, Dub Nation.
