It was a very convincing win too.

Duke moved to 2-0 in the ACC with a solid 86-59 road win over Boston College. However, it may have come at a cost as star freshman Toby Fournier was injured on a flagrant foul by Dontavia Waggoner. She left the game and did not return.

This one was over early - Duke built a 12-4 run out of the gate, outscored BC 23-17 in the first quarter, then threw near-total blanket over the Eagles in the second, winning that frame 19-2. The Blue Devils took a 42-19 lead into halftime and, barring a sensational comeback, the game was over.

There was no comeback. BC played better after the half, but Duke still increased the lead by four.

Ashlon Jackson, Taina Mair and Reigan Richardson all had 14 for duke. Oluchi Okananwa had 12 and Fournier had 11 points in 11 minutes before she was forced out.

Jadyn Donovan had 12 rebounds to pace Duke on the boards.

Duke’s defense did well too, holding the Eagles to 3-9 on three pointers and 21-61 overall. Boston College also had - this is the most we can recall in any game, men’s or women’s - 29 turnovers. That's insane.

We haven’t seen any update on Fournier but hopefully her injury is not serious.
