Duke Runs Past Kansas State, 73-62
It’s a big win for the Blue Devils
Duke got a big win over #9 Kansas State Monday night, winning 73-62.
As we’ve discussed before, Duke is a smallish team, particularly after losing promising freshman Arianna Roberson for the season with an injury.
Ashlon Jackson had a career night with 30 points, shooting 12-19 and 6-9. Reigan Richardson added 16.
The Blue Devils shot 30-69 overall and 7-15 from behind the line. They also forced 18 turnovers and scored 15 on those takeaways.
It was a solid win for Duke, a victory for quickness over size, and it’s a game to build on. Number 8 Oklahoma is next and then Columbia, and then after that, powerhouse South Carolina on the road. Great challenges but great opportunities as well.
