Jalen Hood-Schifino doubtful to play vs. Suns due to illness
Jalen Hood-Schifino is doubtful for the Lakers game against the Suns on Friday.
Los Angeles is preparing for its first back-to-backs of the season and may have to play without second-year guard Jalen Hood-Schifino.
The team announced on Thursday that JHS is listed as doubtful due to an illness.

While Hood-Schifino didn't touch the floor in the Lakers' home opener, having him miss this game would leave them with few guards with experience on the bench.
The only player with NBA minutes who can be trusted to be called upon who's not in the nine-man rotation would be Cam Reddish.
Not a bad option, but ideally, you want everyone ready to play.
The rest of the injury report is virtually identical to the one we received before the matchup against the Wolves.
Christian Koloko is out waiting for the NBA's fitness-to-play panel to medically clear him. Jarred Vanderbilt and Christian Wood are recovering from their surgeries and the other two-way players are also out.
The good news for the Lakers is that everyone who played in the season's first game is healthy and available.
It will be interesting to see if both LeBron James and Anthony Davis will play in each game in this weekend's back-to-backs. So far, the Lakers have given no indication if they'll be load-managing them early this season.
What is clear is that they'll be participating in Friday's matchup vs. the Suns. Hopefully, JHS feels better and can be upgraded to available before the start of the game and join them.
