Four-star Nikolas Khamenia breaks down Top 5, eyes decision before November

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — Nikolas Khamenia is one of the most coveted forwards in the Class of 2025
The 6-foot-8 four-star out of Harvard Westlake as a final five of Arizona, Duke, Gonzaga, UCLA, and North Carolina.
Khamenia, who most recently took a visit to Gonzaga on Oct. 6, expects to commit this month. He broke down his Top 5 for ZAGSBLOG at the USA Basketball Men’s Junior National Team mini-camp:
GONZAGA: “Gonzaga has been recruiting me since sophomore year. I have a good relationship with the staff. They believe I can come in and be a good player as well.
UCLA: “UCLA has been recruiting me since freshman [or] sophomore year. I have a really good relationship with the coaching staff. They believe [that I can] come in an earn a role.”
DUKE: “Duke, same thing. They believe in my versatility. They see me as a really good player. They want me to come in and play a big role.”
Khamenia had the unique experience of being coached this summer by Arizona’s Tommy Lloyd, as he was a part of the USA Basketball U18 gold medal winning team for which Lloyd coached.
ARIZONA: “Arizona is pretty similar to Gonzaga in the way they run their offense. I played for Coach Tommy this summer. They see my versatility as something that fits their system.”
NORTH CAROLINA: “[With] North Carolina I have had a good relationship since earlier in my junior year. And that’s been building on. I took a visit there. It was cool.”
