After missing one preseason game, Steph Curry will be back in action for the Warriors tonight.

The Golden State Warriors will have Steph Curry back in the starting lineup tonight for their preseason matchup against the Los Angeles Lakers. Curry jammed his finger earlier in the preseason and was out for the Dubs last preseason game, a 111-93 victory over the Detroit Pistons. However, it’s unclear whether his absence was fully tied to the injury. The Dubs also rested veteran Draymond Green without an injury.

During his pregame media availability on Tuesday, Curry told Anthony Slater of The Athletic that his finger got caught while he was guarding a player two games ago. Despite that, Curry has no concerns surrounding playing. ““I feel it, but I can play,” he said. “I can’t re-injure it unless I do something crazy.”

The Warriors hopes this season obviously hinge heavily on Curry’s ability to remain one of the best players in the NBA. Injuries are always a concern for stars, particularly players as old and experienced as Curry. Nevertheless, it seems like there’s nothing to worry about at the moment, other than a little discomfort. It seems like the only way the finger will get re-injured is if he jams it again, but that’s a concern that every basketball player faces anytime they’re on the court.

Curry has yet to fully get on track this preseason, though that’s hardly a concern. Through three games he’s averaged 9.3 points, 1.3 rebounds, and 2.3 assists, though he’s playing a mere 15.1 minutes per game. He’s shooting only 39.1% from the field and 28.6% from distance, but it’s certainly not worth worrying about the small sample size percentages for the greatest shooter alive.
