YouTube Gold: An Epic Defensive Collapse In Chapel Hill

Normally we don’t feature UNC on YouTube Gold, but when the time is right, the time is right and this morning...the time is definitely right.

UNC has had some epic defensive collapses this season. Who gives up 53 points in the first half...to James Madison? At home??

Giving up 21 points to Duke in the second half had to hurt and then Pitt toyed with the Heels, winning 34-24.

It might not get worse than what Georgia Tech did: with the game tied 34-34 with just :16 seconds left, Georgia Tech’s Jamal Haynes somehow broke loose for a 68 yard touchdown run.

You could imagine a Hail Mary play with :16 left, but a run? Straight up the middle?

UNC fans have been apoplectic for weeks and now this. It’s going to be very hard to make an argument for keeping Mack Brown after a fourth straight debacle. Football season has gone seriously south in Chapel Hill.
