The Weather Channel roasted the Falcons during Hurricane Milton coverage
28-3 jokes will never die.
It’s just never, ever, ever going to end for Falcons fans. If you were watching coverage of Hurricanes Milton on The Weather Channel on Wednesday night you probably caught wind of an absolutely wild comparison between the lingering danger of the storm, and one of the NFL’s most unfortunate franchises.
“We definitely enjoyed the little halftime show that mother nature gave us inside Milton, but now we got the second half. I gotta remind everyone that you might still be in the eye right now, but there’s a lot more to go. I think back to the Atlanta Falcons first half Super Bowl winner, and we know what happened in the second half — the Patriots came back to life, so do not sleep on the second half of Milton.”
Was this really necessary? I mean, there are so many ways to talk about still being concerned about a storm without forever invoking the 28-3 collapse of the Atlanta Falcons.
The answer is: Yes. Yes it is necessary, and Falcons fans should be reminded of this until they manage to win a Super Bowl, and still reminded more after that — because it will be hilarious forever.
