Great news for Wendell Carter as the former Duke big man has signed a significant contract extension with the Orlando Magic.
His new deal is for three years and $59 million dollars. All together, he’ll get $82 million over the next five seasons.
Timing in life is everything and Carter’s was pretty good because the day after he signed his new deal, he suffered an injury.
Better after your new deal than before, obviously.
It’s not a major injury, fortunately as Carter is listed day-to-day.
Still, it must have been frustrating. Carter has a bit of an injury history and to have one right after a major career victory can’t have been great.
